Shri Badrinath is known as four dhams
in India, Situated in Himalayas . The Current idol of lord Badrinath is the same one which was worshiped by "Narad Muni", Its said this idl was kept in Narad Kund by Bouddhas, And in 8th centuary Shri Adi Shankaracharya came from south India and got lord BAdrinath's idol out from NArad Kund and stablished in cave known as Garuda Koti. Worship os lord Badrinath is done by Nambudari Brahmins known as " Rawals".Current temple of lord Badrinath was built by king of Garhwal in 15th centuary.Swarn Kalash of temple is donated by Queen of Indore Rani Ahilya Bai.Prasad of lord Badrinath is Boiled rice . Important Information: Badrinath Dham " Pat" of lord Badrinath opens in first week of May and closes in last week of October.Weather is comfortable during this period but heavy woolens should be kept .

located on a flat surface on hill top , where one can find market,
hotels, bus stand , Shri Badrinath temple is situated on banks of
river Alaknanda, one has to cross small bridge made on river
Alaknanda to reach Badrinath temple & Tapta Kund. Lord Badrinath's
idol is in balck colour wearing beautiful clothes , golden & diamond
ornaments, Lord Kuber & Lord Ganesha is sitting in right of
Badrinath ji and Goddess Laxmi is sitting in left of Badrinath ji. Panch Teerth, Panch Shila, Narad
Shila, Narsingh Shila, Barah Shila, Garud Shila, Markandeya Shila
